Recurrent corneal erosion is neither a new nor rare condition, yet many patients struggle to get medical help. Because of this, a number of sufferers and ex-sufferers have formed the Recurrent Corneal Erosion Action group.
The group aims to:
- Increase knowledge of the condition in both doctors and patients.
- Ask for more medical research.
- Ask for clinical guidelines on how doctors should manage the condition.
- Give feedback where there are problems or gaps in medical services.
The first action for this group was to publish the book, now this is done, other steps can be taken.
